YOUTH FOOTBALL PROGRAMS

TACKLE FOOTBALL
The 2015-2016 season of Tackle Football, available to kids entering the 3rd & 4th and 5th & 6th grades.

The Tackle Football League will participate against nearby towns that will require traveling on Tuesday evenings. There will also be some home games. The number of home and away games will depend on how many teams are in the league.

There will be a REQUIRED FOOTBALL JAMBOREE held in September, in Iola, that will include the weigh-in of participants and scrimmages for each team.  The games will then start on TBA.

ALL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE ON REGISTRATION FORM, INCLUDING EQUIPMENT RENTAL/CHECK OUT. Please click on registration form to view important information. You can print the form off and return it and fees to the Garnett Recreation Center by the August 3, 2015 deadline.  Practices will begin on or around August 9th.

Registration begins:  Now  DEADLINE:  August 3, 2015  PAST
Fee:  $60 per child, includes football equipment.  This includes helmet, shoulder pads, pants, and leg pads.  $30 per child if you have your own equipment.  Each child must supply their own mouth piece and shoes, and whatever else they wish to wear besides what is stated here.  The recreation director must approve all equipment used by participants.  

EQUIPMENT RENTAL CHECK-OUT (Rec Center):
August 5, 1-4 p.m. - Grades 5th & 6th
August 6, 1-4 p.m. - Grades 3rd & 4th
All kids participating must attend at the times above to get the right size of equipment.

Sign-up location for this program is the Garnett Recreation Center.

FLAG FOOTBALL

This program is open to boys and girls in grades 1st through 4th.

Registration forms are available at the Garnett Recreation Center. Please register for this program at the recreation center. For your convenience, please print off the registration form (above), complete it and drop it off at the recreation center.

FUTURE FOOTBALLERS

This program is designed to teach kids ages 5 through Kindergarten the fundamentals of football.  The kids will learn the basic motor skills necessary to play organized football in the future.
