Parkside Place I and II
Parkside Place consists of two nice apartment complexes where rent is HUD (US Department of Housing and Urban Development) subsidized for those who qualify (62 years or older and on a fixed income).  One bedroom and two-bedroom apartments are currently available.  

  Parkside Place I and II have apartments available for immediate occupancy. If you are 62 or older with low income and looking for a hassle-free, independent lifestyle with no worries when it comes to high utility bills, lawn care, snow removal, home maintenance and property taxes, Parkside Place may be just the place for you.

  Residents of Parkside Place have enjoy some fun social activities, such as trips to Hollywood Casino, wine and cheese tastings, Louisburg Cider mill tours, movie nights, and craft activities, just to name a few.  The Garnett Housing Authority fundraises to help offset costs of these activities.

  Parkside Place and Park Plaza North are owned and operated by the Garnett Housing Authority, an entity of the City of Garnett, Kansas.  We take pride and responsibility for the development and maintenance of these properties. In town, on site management assures all residents that ownership of where they reside will remain in the community and that management will be responsive to residents and their families' concerns.


Park Plaza North
Park Plaza North provides you a choice of an apartment with one-car attached garage known as "The Villas" or a garden apartment designed around the courtyard with one-car detached garage.  Residents at Park Plaza North are free to enjoy the peace of mind that comes from feeling secure, comfortable and independent in a maintenance-free environment.
 
  Park Plaza North is available only to those age 55 years and older.

  Park Plaza North is located immediately adjacent to the North Lake Park where health and wellness amenities abound, from the Garnett Recreation Center/Goppert Wellness Center, to the municipal pool, Garnett Country Club Golf Course and much more. Right at your doorstep is the Prairie Spirit Trail for walking and bicycling. Local shopping venues are less than a mile away.
  You will enjoy Park Plaza's centrally located clubhouse for gatherings and special events. The clubhouse basement servers as a storm shelter if needed.

Each apartment unit includes:

 - A full kitchen complete with stove, refrigerator, garbage disposal, and plenty of storage space;
 - A full bathroom with either bath tub or shower;
 - Livingroom/diningroom area;
 - Carpeting, drapes, shower curtain;
 - Each apartment has controlled heating and cooling;
 - All utilities (electricity, natural gas, water, sanitary sewer and refuse services) are included;
 - All indoor and outdoor maintenance is provided;
 - Emergency bell alarm system in the event help needs to be summoned.

 Residence of Parkside Place also receive:
 - Free use of tenant laundry room amenities;
 - Free use of Community Room and gathering areas.




Park Plaza North
All units provide:
 - Attractive 1 or 2 bedroom private living;
 - Fully equipped kitchens with range, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, and garbage disposal;
 - Private bath;
 - Each apartment is individually heated and air conditioned;
 - One-car garage with garage door opener;
 - All utilities (electricity, natural gas, water, sanitary sewer and refuse services), as well as extended basic cable television service are included;
 - Private patio;
 - Washer and dryer hookups available in each unit;
 - Large closet storage;
 - Wide hallways and doorways for handicapped accessibility.
 - Interior/exterior maintenance provided;
 - Lawn care and snow removal included;
 - "Buddy Call" alarm system for peace of mind.

Residence of Park Plaza North also have free use of clubhouse for gatherings and special events.
